MPowered Mortgages has launched an Eco EPC range, which offers a 10 basis points discount on rates for all properties with an energy rating of A, B, or C.

The digital platform says the discount on its new green range is available across two, five, and seven-year fixed-rate products in the range (excluding houses in multiple occupation).

Initial rates start from 2.74% on the two-year fixed loans, 2.84% on the five-year fixed offers, and 2.94% on the seven-year fixed mortgages.

The firm adds it is offering free valuations across the entire range, for a limited period.

MPowered Mortgages distribution director Emma Hollingworth says: “We are excited to launch our new Eco EPC range, expanding our already extensive product offering. 

“[The] COP-26 [climate change summit of world leaders in Glasgow that ended last month] has shown us that hard work lies ahead to make the world more sustainable, and the UK Government itself has set the target of being ‘net zero’ by 2050.

“The housing market will play an integral role in this, and by offering our new range of eco products, we’re happy to be playing a small role in making Britain’s housing stock more sustainable.”

The MPowered platform was launched by Guilford-based fintech MQube in March.
