Loggerhead Marinelife Center, 14200 US Highway One in Juno Beach is offering an opportunity for kids interested in saving turtles to become a junior researcher. Youngsters can participate in a FREE program learn what marine researchers do and how they help sea turtles and hatchlings at Loggerhead Marinelife Center.

Children ages 5-12 can learn all about the marvelous world of turtles. The junior researchers will participate in a mock excavation of hatchlings. They will learn how math and statistics can benefit conservation. Kids will explore how data collected over a long period of time helps in saving sea turtles. They will participate in releasing their hatchlings back out into the wild, back to sea.

The program takes place from June through September on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 3:30 p.m. This unique program is limited to six children so please register ahead on their calendar here.
