On March 10th, 2021 at 7:00 pm join author and President of the Art Deco Society of the Palm Beaches, Sharon Koskoff, on a visual journey to Ancient Egypt.  The President of the Art Deco Society of the Palm Beaches will share her insight of Egyptian Art Deco: The Ancient Civilization.  Sharon Koskoff ventured on a recent trip to Egypt, the Nile, and the home of the world’s largest sculpture the Sphinx!

The Art Deco Society of the Palm Beaches promotes education, preservation, and awareness of Twentieth Century Art, Architecture & Design in the Palm Beaches.  Art Deco is a popular design style of the 1920s and ’30s characterized especially by sleek geometric or stylized forms and using man-made materials. Learn how Egyptian Art and Design sets the groundwork for Art Deco and how it is reflected in our Modern life today! 

Take a picturesque journey to Ancient Egypt with the Art Deco Society of the Palm Beaches and Koskoff as she travels in search of the origins of Art Deco inspired designs found the Jazz Age! Howard Carter discovered King Tutankhamen’s tomb in 1922 and everything Egyptian became all the rage in the Roaring Twenties!
