LSL FS has appointed Robert Sinclair as a non-executive director.

Sinclair needs little introduction, having had more than two decades across the mortgage and financial services sectors.

He is most recognised for his role as chief executive of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) from 2012 until March 2025.

In addition to his work with AMI, Sinclair has held several non-executive positions within the mutual sector, including at Darlington Building Society and Buckinghamshire Building Society.

As a non-executive director at LSL FS, Sinclair will support the board in promoting the work of businesses within the LSL FS group including Primis, TMA and Linear.

His responsibilities will include providing challenge and strategic guidance to the executive team, supporting governance and risk management and contributing to the organisation’s culture, values and stakeholder engagement.

Sinclair said: “I am pleased to be joining the board at such an important time for our industry. Having spent many years working closely with intermediaries, lenders, regulators and policymakers, I look forward to bringing that experience to bear and supporting the continued growth and long-term development of the business.”

LSL chair Darrell Evans said: “Robert brings extensive knowledge of the intermediary and mortgage market, together with 30 years of experience across governance, regulation and stakeholder engagement.

“His insight and understanding of our industry will be a valuable addition to the board as we continue to focus on delivering long-term sustainable growth and supporting advisers and customers across our firms and networks.”
