Santander raises max loan size and adds BTL deals - Mortgage Strategy

Santander has increased its maximum loan size from £250,000 to £500,000 for residential deals and cut fees on some products.

It has also brought in a number of new buy-to-let remortgage deals.

The lender says that from Tuesday the loan size will increase and standard product fees will be temporarily reduced from £999 to £649 on all 60 per cent and 75 per cent loan-to-value two and five year fixed rates.

At the same time the lender is increasing the rate on its two year tracker at 75 per cent LTV by 20 basis points to 1.49 per cent.

The product has a £999 fee and is available for both purchase and remortgage.

Santander will also be launching a range of new buy-to-let remortgage only deals at 60 per cent LTV.

These include a two-year fixed at 1.39 per cent with a £1,499 fee.

  • A fee-free two-year fixed at 1.85 per cent.
  • A five year fixed rate at 1.79 per cent with a £1,499 fee.
  • A fee-free five-year fixed at 1.99 per cent.
