Stonebridge has hired Tim Miller to fill the newly-created role of chief operating officer at the national mortgage and protection network.
Miller, who has worked in financial services for two decades, will lead the firm’s authorisations, supervision, risk policy, audit and human resources functions. He reports to chief executive Rob Clifford.
The network says the move is part of its strategy “to increase bench-strength in its senior team” to grow the business, which has over 1,300 advisers.
Miller, who was formerly the chief operating officer Asia-Pacific at Bluestone, also joins the Stonebridge executive team. This comprises group finance director Martyn Franklin and chief technology officer Mark Bailey.
Miller says: “I’ve spent the bulk of my career supporting broker and adviser networks, helping them grow sustainably while keeping customer outcomes front and centre.”
It added that the average mortgage rate offered to customers dropped to 4.44%, down 62 basis points from a year earlier.
