Tiger Woods designated $83,333.00 from his Match Play earnings to Palm Beach County charity, Meals on Wheels of the Palm Beaches.  The West Palm Beach based organizations mission “is to nourish and enrich the lives of homebound seniors by delivering fresh food daily with compassion and love.  As a 501c(3) non-profit, we provide these services to those in need in Palm Beach County without any government funding.  Our program is exclusively funded by the generosity of our community including foundations, individual donors, corporate partners, special events and fundraisers.” 

With the help of many of private donors, community foundations, as well as the legendary golfer, Meals on Wheels of the Palm Beaches has raised more than $300,000 to provide nutritious, freshly prepared  meals by the Meals on Wheels Chef and kitchen to homebound seniors, 5 days a week, during the coronavirus pandemic of 2020. In addition to providing nourishment the program offers in a warm smile, a nutritious meal, a wellness check, and follow up with emergency contacts as needed by volunteers. Human connection is so important and often lost when seniors or disabled adults live alone.

Golfer Tiger Woods is among those who have aided the West Palm Beach-based organization in providing more than 27,000 meals during the past nine weeks to seniors from Jupiter to Lantana.
