The Boynton Beach City Library located at 100 East Ocean Avenue in Boynton Beach will host a winter activity. Learn about the science of snowflakes with the children! The book Snowflake Bentley will be read and crafting of your own snowflakes with beads will take place. Snowflake learning will occur Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm.

This is a youth STEM activity. The first thing we need to do is define STEM Activities. STEM is an acronym that stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (referred to as pillars). It is an integrated teaching strategy that combines at least two of the pillars in the lessons and activities. The objectives of a STEM Resource Center are to assist students in developing the skills and positive attitudes required to acclimate to college life and succeed academically. The greatest benefit of STEM is that it fosters that love of learning. Instilling that passion and drive to learn is at the most crucial stage - the elementary years.

Foster the desire in your kids or grandkids to learn and grow by signing up for STEM activities. For more information, please call the Boynton Beach City Library at 561-742-6390 or email [email protected]
