Kids Fishing Programs Every Saturday Morning

Every week, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts several events for the public to learn more about sea turtles and the center’s rehabilitation and research efforts through their sea turtle hospital and rehabilitation center. The events are open to the public and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is one of northern Palm Beach County most popular attractions. On Saturday mornings, the center hosts a Kids Fishing Program aimed for children ages 8 through 12.

During the program, the younger fishermen will learn the basic techniques for fishing from the Juno Beach Pier including knot tying, casting, fish handling, and the proper catch and release techniques. In addition, the fishing skills learned, participants will learn how to be ethical anglers and will learn how to reduce their impact on marine life. All fish caught during the program will be released.

All fishing equipment and bait will be provided. The cost is $12 dollars per child and registration is required due to limited space.
