RHFC Attends the Yellow Ribbon Integration Program for the 106th Rescue Wing
On March 24th Christine Frye – Mortgage Loan Originator at Residential Home Funding Corp. (RHFC) – attended the 106th Rescue Wing Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP) Deployment Event in Farmingville, NY. Christine, along with Gina Pellettieri, Esq., educated service members on the benefits of a VA Mortgage that is offered to them through RHFC. They were honored to present and be a resource at this event.
The YRRP is a DoD-wide effort to promote the well being of National Guard and Reserve Members and their families by connecting them to necessary support and guide them to the appropriate information, services, benefits, proactive outreach opportunities, and referrals to help them throughout the deployment cycle.
In attendance were 150 service members of the 106th Rescue Wing (based in Westhampton, Long Island). RHFC setup a special table for service members and was able to provide guidance and education on the home buying process offered through a VA Loan. Christine spoke with many of the members in attendance, answering questions and even hosting an educational breakout session later in the day.
Veterans Administration (VA) Loans are loans offered exclusively to active duty military, veterans, and surviving spouses or dependents, and are guaranteed by the U.S. Veterans Administration. Eligible veterans may be able to purchase a home with no down payment and no cash reserve. The VA establishes the maximum loan amounts and eligibility requirements. Typically, these loans have no down payment – loan fees are also rolled into the loan. Income restrictions do not apply, and you can also qualify for a refinance at a lower rate when rates change.
