While we wait on the details for the Tiger vs Phil match to be finalized, we now know of another charity event that will be taking place, and this one will be taking place locally.

The PGA Tour, along with broadcast partners NBC Sports and Sky Sports announced on Monday that Rory Mcllroy, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, and Matthew Wolff will be competing in a charity golf event on Sunday, May 17 at Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach.

The “TaylorMade Driving Relief Sponsored by UnitedHealth Group”, which will be an 18-hole skins game benefiting COVID-19 relief efforts will see Rory Mcllroy and Dustin Johnson square off against Rickie Folwer and Matthew Wolff. Rory and DJ will be playing for the American Nurses Foundation and Rickie & Wolff playing for the CDC Foundation.

UnitedHealth Group is putting up the $3 million purse that will benefit each team's charity, while Farmers Insurance has pledged an additional $1 million for a birdies-and-eagle pool to benefit Off Their Plate, a charitable organization helping COVID-19 healthcare workers and impacted frontline shift employees.

While no fans or spectators will be allowed on the course, the event will be broadcast worldwide on NBC, GOLF Channel, NBCSN, and Sky Sports as well as multiple digital platforms.

Considered one of the most exclusive golf courses in the United States, Seminole Golf Club is a Donald Ross design. This will be the first time that the course has ever hosted a televised golf event.
