Head to Juno Beach this Saturday morning to help keep our beaches clean. March 1st was the first day of Sea Turtle Nesting Season and Juno Beach is one of the most populated sea turtle nesting spots in the world. Along the nearly 10 miles of sandy beach, thousands of sea turtles lay their eggs in the sand. The nests usually contain roughly 100 eggs and require 45 to 60 days to hatch. Juno Beach is one of the most populated locations for sea turtle nesting. Loggerheads, Greens and Leatherbacks Sea Turtle nests are often found along the beach from March 1st through the end of October. This Saturday, March 14th, a group from Blue Friends is hosting their monthly Beach Clean Up. The beach clean ups occur on the third Saturday of every month.
