Habito has launched an end-to-end homebuying service which combines mortgage advice, survey and legal work for a total fee starting from £2,000.

With Habito Plus, buyers will have a single case manager for the whole purchase process from sourcing the mortgage through to carrying out property searches, drawing up contracts, exchange and completion.  

The fee will be split into two parts with the first £999 due once the mortgage application has been submitted. 

The remainder of the fee will be paid once the purchase completes.

For first-time buyers and those who are not selling an existing property the total fee starts from £2,000, while for home movers who are both buying and selling it starts at £2,700.

The fee covers all legal costs, searches, land registry fee and a homebuyer report.

If the purchase falls through the initial fee paid can be used for the next property.

For home movers, Habito says its new service will allow them to streamline the sale and purchase paperwork and eliminate the delays caused by dealing with multiple legal teams.

The service will use a panel of conveyancers and surveyors including law firm Juno and valuers White Horse.

Habito says its IT integrations with partner firms will reduce the amount of form-filling clients have to carry out and allow buyers to track where they are in the process. 

Habito Plus is only available in England and Wales and does not currently cover Help to Buy or purchases of new-build homes.
