
Long-time industry executive Brian Vieaux will be the newest president of the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization starting on Oct. 1.
Vieaux is currently
MISMO is an affiliate of the Mortgage Bankers Association and leadership of the group will put Vieaux in a position central to the coordination of industry data standards.
MBA President and CEO Bob Broeksmit said in a press release that Vieaux's executive roles in the industry and a demonstrated ability to forge consensus within it made him a good fit for the leadership position at the standards organization.
"I am confident his passion for the industry and fresh ideas will drive innovation, increase stakeholder participation, and continue to advance MISMO industry standards that benefit consumers, lenders, and servicers," Broeksmit said.
