HSBC is now allowing intermediaries to share self-employed mortgage borrowers’ financial details through open banking.
Using technology enabled through a partnership with Experian, intermediaries who share their clients’ business bank statements in this way will see a reduction in the time needed to go from mortgage application to offer.
Would-be borrowers will no longer need to acquire three months of commercial statements in physical form.
The client must be banking with an institution that allows data sharing with Experian, a full list of which is below:
