Santander rates rise by up to 35 basis points | Mortgage Strategy

Santander has increased rates on a wide range of residential and buy-to-let products by up to 35 basis points today.

The lender has raised prices across most loan-to-value tiers with the biggest increases made to its tracker deals. 

The following residential rates have increased:

  • At 60 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.59 per cent with £999 fee – purchase increased by 0.10 per cent
  • Also at 60 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 1.64 per cent with £999 fee – purchase increased by 0.05 per cent
  • At 75 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.54 per cent with £999 fee – remortgage increased by 0.15 per cent
  • At 75 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.84 per cent with £999 fee – purchase increased by 0.15 per cent
  • At 75 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 1.74 per cent with £999 fee – remortgage increased by 0.15 per cent
  • At 75 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 1.89 per cent with £999 fee – purchase increased by 0.10 per cent
  • At 85 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 3.29 per cent with £999 fee – purchase and remortgage increased by 0.15 per cent
  • At 75 per cent LTV two-year tracker at 2.09 per cent (Bank of England base rate + 1.99 per cent) with £999 fee – purchase and remortgage increased by 0.35 per cent

The following large loan deals for purchase and remortgage have also increased:

  • At 60 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.69 per cent with £2,499 fee – increased by 0.10 per cent
  • At 60 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 1.74 per cent with £2,499 fee – increased by 0.05 per cent
  • At 75 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.94 per cent with £2,499 fee – increased by 0.15 per cent
  • At 75 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 1.99 per cent with £2,499 fee – increased by 0.10 per cent

The following Help to Buy deals for purchase only have increased:

  • At 60 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.64 per cent with £999 fee – increased by 0.10 per cent
  • At 60 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.99 per cent with £0 fee – increased by 0.10 per cent
  • At 60 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 1.89 per cent with £999 fee – increased by 0.15 per cent
  • At 60 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 2.09 per cent with £0 fee – increased by 0.10 per cent
  • At 75 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.94 per cent with £999 fee – increased by 0.20 per cent
  • At 75 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 2.24 per cent with £0 fee – increased by 0.10 per cent
  • At 75 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 2.09 per cent with £999 fee – increased by 0.20 per cent
  • At 75 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 2.39 per cent with £0 fee – increased by 0.05 per cent

Santander has also withdrawn its 85 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 2.99 per cent with £999 fee for purchase and remortgage

The following buy-to-let deals are increasing:

  • At 60 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.64 per cent with £1,499 fee – increased by 0.15 per cent
  • At 60 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 1.89 per cent with £1,499 fee – increased by 0.10 per cent
  • At 75 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.79 per cent with £1,499 fee – increased by 0.10 per cent
  • At 75 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 2.14 per cent with £1,499 fee – increased by 0.10 per cent
