The Palm Beach County Food Bank will host the Eighth Annual Palm Beach Empty Bowls at The Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea on Palm Beach. Friday, February 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the slogan “Eat Simply So Others Can Simply Eat,”  event returns with a mission to raise funds for the Palm Beach County Food Bank, hunger relief, and help those who are struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This event will raise money for hunger relief in Palm Beach County. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the Palm Beach County Food Bank. Each person who places an order will receive a pint of soup in a, microwavable “to-go” cup from a leading local restaurant, as well as bread from Old School Bakery, a bottle of water, recyclable plasticware, and a “goody bag” with a slice of cake.  With 15 soup options, surely you will find one you will enjoy!

Because of the pandemic, attendees will not be able to enjoy the soups on site at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea, Palm Beach, as they have in past years. Instead, the event will have a drive-thru pick-up option from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church and a delivery option for orders of four or more. Delivery range is limited to the Town of Palm Beach and downtown West Palm Beach.

Last year, 550 attendees raised $83,000, with all proceeds going to the Food Bank.  This year the goal is to raise $100,000. Help aid in hunger relief in our area.
