Leeds cuts rates by up to 20 basis points - Mortgage Strategy

Leeds Building Society is cutting rates on a number of two-year fixed rate deals by as much as 20 basis points tomorrow.

In its residential legal fees assisted range for purchase or remortgage it will cut its two-year fixed at 65 per cent loan to value from 1.36 to 1.29 per cent with a £999 fee, while the fee-free alternative is coming down from 1.69 per cent to 1.64 per cent.

At 75 per cent LTV its two-year fixed at 1.34 per cent will reduce to 1.24 per cent with a £1,999 fee.

Within the same LTV tier its two-year fixed at 1.55 per cent is cut to 1.39 per cent with a £999 fee, while the fee-free alternative has reduced from 1.89 per cent to 1.7 per cent.

At 80 per cent LTV Leeds is replacing a two-year fixed at 1.69 per cent with a £999 fee for a fee-free deal at a higher rate of 1.85 per cent.

The lender is also lowering rates on a number of buy-to-let two year fixed rates at 60 and 70 per cent LTV by up to 20 basis points.

These include a 70 per cent LTV deal which comes down from 2.39 to 2.19 per cent with no fee.

For portfolio landlords it is cutting some rates while increasing others.
