United Trust Bank has made two appointments in its bridging servicing team as the lender continues to grow its loan book.

Adetayo Odukoya has been hired as head of servicing – bridging, where he will be tasked with improving customer service levels, creating a strong control framework to manage loans, and ensuring the bank’s processes are quick to adapt to market changes.

The industry veteran will also monitor Consumer Duty principles for the unit and evolve the division’s vulnerable customer support.

Odukoya was arrears and litigation manager at Pepper UK and has worked in financial services for almost 20 years, holding roles at Santander and Acenden.

The business says Odukoya will work closely with director of bridging, Sundeep Patel, and support the division’s wider senior management team.

Also, Tony Rose has been promoted within the bank’s bridging team to become a servicing manager.

Rose has worked in the bridging department since 2016 as a client liaison officer, and most recently as an operation & project analyst.

He has worked in banking for nearly 15 years including seven years in Australia and New Zealand in servicing and underwriting roles for Bank of New Zealand and Bankwest.

Patel says: “We have invested in some significant appointments this year as we continue to grow our bridging business, improve our processes and commit to consistently delivering the high levels of service brokers demand and deserve.”

The bank’s director of bridging adds that Odukoya and Rose “will ensure our in-life loan servicing becomes the best in the market for regulated and unregulated bridging customers”.

Odukoya adds: “Working with Sundeep and the wider bridging teams, I look forward to enhancing both the overall customer experience and UTB’s market position by utilising the wealth of experience we have across the business.”
