The move will see the broker-only firm offer product sourcing without the need to re-key data, plus access to One Mortgage System’s end-to-end mortgage system and workflow tools.

The platform covers product areas such as residential, buy-to-let, second charge, equity release, bridging, commercial as well as general insurance and protection.

It has completed previous integrations with other proptech platforms, Iress, Twenty7Tec, Hometrack, iPipeline and Knowledge Bank – providing users with product sourcing, automated valuation models, protection sourcing and criteria searching.

The Lending Channel says it has successfully brokered around £160m of lending across residential and commercial property finance since 2010. This includes short-term finance, first and second charge mortgages and specialist buy-to-let markets.

One Mortgage System managing director Neal Jannels says:“The Lending Channel is similar to OMS in the sense that it is a growing family business which is fully versed on the intricacies of the modern mortgage market and focused on making each and every client journey an outstanding one.

These synergies shone through from an early stage of discussions and we are looking forward to working closely with the team to ensure that we both grow in the right way by continuing to provide the highest levels of support and always delivering on our promises.”

The Lending Channel managing director Alistair Ewing adds: “From the very opening dialogue, we have been very impressed with both the proposition and team at OMS.

We were looking initially to simply replace our existing and outdated customer relationship management system – but this offers us so much more.

Our operational efficiencies will be improved massively allowing our team to continue delivering a first-class service to our introducers and end-user clients in a market that will only continue to get more competitive.”

In May, One Mortgage System partnered with tech firm Nivo to offer facial recognition verification to customers.

The platform said the new system helps navigate the previous requirement for certified ID, usually provided by a solicitor.

It added that ID is verified on the system by using machine learning and facial recognition to check the applicant is the genuine owner of an authentic passport, driving license or national ID card.
