Every month, the Loxahatchee River Center in Jupiter pairs up with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary “Flotilla 52” to provide a series of Boating Safety Course aimed for young boaters in our community. The classes are aimed for young boaters however, all are welcomed to learn more about safety on the water.

The next Boating Safety Class is happening this Saturday and Sunday and the course is completely virtual. The class will be online and taught in a lecture style class. The two-day class is free to attend but a deposit of $10 dollars is asked to hold your spot in the class. The deposit will be returned once the course is over. At the end of the two-day virtual class an exam will be given to those that participated and the young boaters will receive their Florida Boater Safety Identification Card that can be used immediately.

The safety classes are provided by the AustinBlu Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and promoting education activities to improve safety on the water.
