Once again, the Palm Beach County public school system was awarded an “A” from the Florida Department of Education. The grade comes from considerations including students’ high-test scores on state exams as well as the county’s high rate of graduation 

Palm Beach County students surpassed every other county on their mandatory state exams. Most schools in the area averaged a commencement rate of 90%.  Various charter schools reaching 100% completion rate.  Undoubtably extremely impressive!

State records show that this year, 42 percent of public and charter schools in Florida earned an “A"! The increase is 6% higher than previous years. Of the seven largest school districts in the state, Palm Beach and Miami–Dade counties were the only two given an “A.”  Of the 67 county school districts in Florida, not one district received lower than a “C.”

A penny tax was approved by Palm Beach County voters in January last year to improve local education facilities. So far around $70 million worth of improvements have been scheduled for the district with summer projects currently underway.

The county is also implementing higher pay for its teachers and adding more school resource officers in every school to ensure the safety of its students. It is obviously crucial to the residents and government officials of Palm Beach County that investing in education and community is a top priority. With more than 200 public and private schools in the area, options are available to consider as to where to send their children to school for a stellar education!
