YBS Commercial Mortgages has recruited two new relationship directors who join its South East team as the unit completes its recruitment drive.

Yorkshire Building Society’s commercial loans operation says Dan Sloman (pictured) has a breadth of knowledge in commercial lending, built up over a 15-year banking career.

He previously worked at Handelsbanken for four-and-a-half years, leaving as a corporate banking manager.

Prior to that, he spent almost three years at Royal Bank of Scotland, leaving as a business relationship manager in 2018.

Lee Johnston has worked in the banking industry for over a decade and also previously worked at Handelsbanken for just over a year as a corporate banking manager.

Before that he also spent eight years at Royal Bank of Scotland, leaving as a senior relationship manager last May.

YBS Commercial Mortgages regional director for the South East Andrew Edwards says: “I look forward to seeing the impact they [Sloman and Johnston] are sure to have on the South East team, which has almost doubled in the last 12 months.

“Our recruitment drive this year really demonstrates our commitment to strengthening our regional teams and providing as much support as we can to the commercial market and all our clients.”
