TSB hikes rates by up to 45 bps while cutting others | Mortgage Strategy

TSB has increased rates on some deals by up to 45 basis points today, while reducing others by up to 20 bps.

The most substantial rate increases were to five-year fixed rates in its remortgage range.

The following deals have increased by 45 bps today, both of which come with a choice of free legals or £300 cashback:

  • Five-year fixed rate for remortgage with three-year early repayment charge (ERC) at 60% LTV increased from 1.44% to 1.89% with no fee
  • Five-year fixed rate for remortgage with three-year ERC at 60% LTV increased from 1.64% to 2.09% with no fee

A number of other five-year fixes for home movers and for first-time buyers also increased:

  • Five-year fixed rate with three-year ERC at 60% LTV increased by 30 bps from 1.59% to 1.89% with no fee
  • Five-year fixed rate for purchase with three-year ERC at 75% LTV increased by 20 bps from 1.79% to 1.99% with no fee

The following two-year fixed rates for home movers and first-time buyers have reduced by 20 basis points:

  • Two-year fixed rate at 90% LTV with £995 fee has been cut from 2.09% to 1.89%
  • Two-year fixed rate at 90% LTV with no fee has been cut from 2.39% to 2.19%

TSB has also cut the following five-year deals for home movers, which come with the full five-year ERC:

  • Five-year fixed at 90% LTV with £995 fee reduced by 20 bps from 2.64% to 2.44%
  • Five-year fixed at 90% LTV with no fee reduced by 20 bps from 2.84% to 2.64%
