Here are just a few:
#1) When you join the group, the team leader requires you to sign an agreement which says you cannot take your clients with you if you decide to leave the team.
#2) The team leader does not allow you to receive credit for your closings on the MLS, on Zillow, on Realtor.com, and on other real estate portals.
#3) The team leader requires every agent on the team to use the same techniques for prospecting for new clients, without accounting for each agent's unique interests, skills, and talents.
#4) The team leader does not provide a path for your financial growth, other than by requiring you to sell more homes each year.
#5) The team leader does not respect your boundaries between your personal life and your work life.
#6) Turnover is high, and the people who leave the team are treated poorly on their way out.
Fortunately there is a better way, and it's all about the team leader and the team member supporting each other and working together on mutually beneficial goals.
