Scottish surveying firm DM Hall has promoted two of its rising stars to director level.

Calum Almond joined DM Hall in 2017 and became head of architectural and energy services in 2021.

He is also a qualified non-domestic energy assessor.

Charlie Barrett became a chartered surveyor in 2016 and carries out residential surveys and valuations from the firm’s Edinburgh office.

DM Hall has offices across Scotland as well as in the North of England in Carlisle and Kendal.

Managing partner John McHugh says: “These two internal promotions continue our recent trend of strategically building and developing the business by promoting highly regarded talent already within the firm, in addition to recruiting externally.

“The promotion of Calum and Charlie to the position of director is richly deserved with both contributing significantly to the ongoing growth and development of two important parts of our wider business.

“In recognising their contributions, we are also signalling that the firm remains as committed as ever to providing the proper platform and environment to progress the career of all who demonstrate the highest levels of achievement, effort, commitment, and professionalism.

“We extend to both of them our warmest congratulations.”
