It’s officially the end of the working year here at Mortgage Strategy and a time to look back on what has been achieved and the many challenges overcome in another tumultuous year.

Having made it through several lockdowns, we were allowed to socialise again and life returned to a more familiar routine. Things started positively but dramatic events in an ever-changing government and an ill-fated budget created problems a plenty in the mortgage market.

There were hard times for everyone in the sector but as always, it prevailed, thanks to the many hardworking individuals who ensured mortgage borrowers’ could secure loans despite the turbulent market.

I hope you get the break you deserve over the festive period, to reset and prepare for the tests and triumphs that 2023 will undoubtedly bring.

Mortgage Strategy will close today for Christmas and reopen on 3 January.
