Precise Mortgages sales director Roger Morris is leaving the lender after 12 years.

Morris is one of the best-known names in the mortgage industry having begun his career in the 1990s. He has also held the title of group engagement director at OSB Group, of which Precise is a part, since January.

In a LinkedIn Post, Morris said its time for him to seek new challenges “in the industry I love” and that the decision to leave was motivated “by the recognition that I have done everything I can to help bring the business to this point in its journey.”

“Helping to build Precise Mortgages into the specialist lending powerhouse it became and then assisting in its integration into OSB Group have been the passions of much of the latter part of my business life,” the post reads.

Many in the industry commented on the announcement, including  Propflo and Knowledge Bank investor Ying Tan who wrote that Morris has been “a significant driving force in specialist lending and indeed the wider mortgage industry for many years.”

“Your passion, enthusiasm and dedication to our industry is infectious and second to none, ” wrote Tan. “I have seen you positively influence so many people in the industry and their breadth of knowledge and experience has often been guided by you.

“You were probably the first person of note to embrace social media in our Industry and look at us all now! You should be extremely proud of what you have achieved but what it most exciting is that there will be bigger wins and many more highs ahead.”
