The new role has been created to help the business expand its current offering and support the creation and delivery of its robotic process automation (RPA) solutions in the UK and expansion in overseas markets.

The Robot Exchange is also extending its offering within financial services, with a particular focus on the lending community.

Gooch’s technology career began after she pioneered the introduction of production management methodologies into the service sector.

She also developed a software product which delivered improvements in customer service and cost reductions for clients.

In addition, Gooch was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list in 2012.

The Robot Exchange chief executive Andy Wallace says: “This represents a major milestone for The Robot Exchange. We have ambitious plans and attracting someone of Elizabeth’s experience, expertise and character speaks volumes about our drive, ambition and potential.”

“Now that she is on the team, we cannot wait to begin this exciting next step in the journey of The Robot Exchange.”
