Greenstreet, a chartered accountant, is the founder and chief executive of Infinity Capital Partners, a London-based corporate finance firm, established in 2009.

He joins the Welsh mutual as a member of the audit committee, and the governance and nominations committee.

Greenstreet has also been a board member of the United Bank for Africa since May 2020, and a strategic advisor and member of the advisory group at the London Stock Exchange since October 2015.

He has previously held senior roles at HSBC, Lloyds, and ABN Amro.

Principality chair Sally Jones-Evans says: “As a founding member of the advisory board of the London Stock Exchange, Ian brings with him a wealth of board experience and will strengthen our capabilities significantly.

“His knowledge will be a real asset as we transform our core business of mortgages and savings and continue our journey as a purpose-driven and sustainable company.”

Greenstreet adds: “My experience will enable me to help the board fulfil its responsibilities with respect to overseeing matters related to risk management and internal control.

“It is a wonderful time to be joining a great member-owned organisation and I am looking forward to working on behalf of our members, as well as contributing to the society’s long-term sustainable success.”
