Mortgage Advice Bureau has made three senior appointments across marketing, finance and technology.

John Woods has been appointed group chief marketing officer.

He has previously held senior roles at Barclays and CMC Markets, where he led the firm’s digital transformation ahead of its FTSE 250 flotation, and later worked at Samsung and Zellis.

Before joining MAB, Woods was a founding partner at Zenus Bank.

Jo Stent has joined as group chief financial officer designate and is working alongside current chief financial officer Emilie McCarthy ahead of her departure.

Subject to regulatory approval, Stent will become group chief financial officer from 1 October.

She has more than 25 years’ experience in senior finance roles across listed, regulated and international businesses.

Renee Hunt has also joined as group chief data and information officer, with responsibility for technology, product, data, artificial intelligence, customer experience and change.

Hunt has more than 30 years’ experience across financial services, media and telecoms.

Her previous roles include positions at Deloitte and Sky, where she worked on the launch of Sky Q and led digital teams supporting Sky News and Sky Sports.

She was most recently chief technology officer at Compare the Market and also holds non-executive director roles at Nando’s and the Institute of Directors.

MAB chief executive Peter Brodnicki says: “These appointments reflect the continued investment we’re making in the leadership, capability, and focus needed to deliver our strategic ambitions.

“Additional senior appointments have also been in areas such as product, data, project management, and customer acquisition.

“We’re in a unique period which will see the intermediary sector transform, and I want to see MAB be at the forefront of that transformation.”
