Mortgagelab.ai has launched a free community for UK mortgage advisers to learn and implement AI.

The new platform is backed by Curvestone AI and JammJar as headline partners, alongside Keychain, Roma Finance and Instamo.

Mortgage Lab is Official AI Knowledge Partner for Mortgage Innovation & Technology Live, where it will run a hands-on roundtable, ‘AI in practice: real mortgage tasks, real guardrails’.

Since launching, Mortgage Lab has built a Friday Briefing, a daily AI news feed, a podcast and a growing library of practical guides and videos.

The founding partners will support Mortgage Lab’s free and member content through blogs, videos, podcasts, webinars and training, sharing what they are learning directly with advisers.

Mortgage Lab was founded in 2026 by Liz Syms, chief executive of Connect for Intermediaries, and Paul Brett, director of BTS Consult & Coach.

Rebecca Whitney, founder of Advisory 9, and CTO Mike Potts have joined to offer technical expertise.

Commenting on the launch, Syms says: “Advisers aren’t asking whether to use AI anymore. They’re asking how to use it without putting a client file or a Consumer Duty outcome at risk, and without losing time they don’t have.”

“That’s the question Mortgage Lab exists to answer, with straight, practical guidance from people who work in this industry every day. Having two headline partners and three more sponsors on board from day one tells us the industry wants this too.”

Brett adds: “I’ve spent nearly forty years in this market and I’ve rarely seen a change move this quickly. Adoption among advisers has jumped in a single year. Our partners are joining the conversation with advisers, sharing what they’re learning on the podcast and in our sessions. That’s exactly the kind of practical, honest content the community is asking for.”
