Paragon Bank has appointed Simon Cockerill as commercial director of mortgages.

Cockerill joins Paragon with 28 years of experience across mortgage sales and distribution.

Most recently, he spent almost nine years as head of sales at OSB Group, having previously held senior roles spanning lenders, intermediaries and building societies.

In his new role, Cockerill will report to managing director of mortgages Louisa Sedgwick.

He will lead Paragon’s BTL mortgage sales, distribution and product functions.

In addition, he will support further growth in existing and developing areas of the market, helping brokers find solutions for landlord clients across an increasingly diverse range of borrowing requirements.

I’ve known Louisa for the past eight years and I’m delighted to be joining the business and working under her leadership.”
