Hampshire Trust Bank has promoted Louisa Sedgwick to managing director – specialist mortgages.

Sedgwick joined the bank as deputy managing director – specialist mortgages in October 2021 and had previously been managing director – mortgages at Vida Homeloans, where she spent four and a half years.

In November last, it was announced that Hampshire Trust had joined the Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association (Imla), with Sedgwick as it’s representative.

In further lender job news, Ben Merritt has been promoted to director of mortgages at Yorkshire Building Society.

Merritt has worked at the society since 2010, holding several roles including mortgage product manager and senior manager – group mortgage acquisition.
