Tracie Pearce joins Santander from HSBC | Mortgage Strategy

Santander UK has hired Tracie Pearce as chief customer officer for homes.

Pearce will take up her new role in the spring and is currently director of retail banking at HSBC UK, with responsibility for their mortgage business, together with all Personal Banking products.

In her new role, Pearce will be responsible for supporting Santander customers in all aspects of financing their homes and lead the strategic development, digital transformation and innovation of its mortgage business in the UK.

In addition to her UK role, Pearce will be the regional business owner for Home across Europe and will help drive an improved customer experience across all our European markets.

Prior to working at HSBC Pearce worked across a range of building societies in a number of product roles, including eight years at Nationwide, leading mortgages and then savings.

She will join the executive committee of Santander UK and the retail executive team for Europe.

Her experience, drive and customer centric approach will be a huge asset to the bank as we look to transform our mortgage business in the UK and across the European region.”

Pearce says: “I am delighted to be joining Santander in this new role, which for the first time brings together all parts of the Home journey. I am looking forward to working with teams in the UK and Europe to develop and expand the range of solutions to meet the needs of our customer base.”
