OneFamily has appointed Melanie Hind to join its board as a non-executive director, effective from September.

Hind joins after serving in a number of senior roles within the financial and professional services sectors.

She brings experience in strategy and change leadership, risk management, corporate and regulatory reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Hind has previously worked at BDO International as head of assurance quality and also spent six years as an executive director at the Financial Reporting Council (FRC).

Prior to this, she held leadership roles at Friends Life Group as well as PwC’s financial services assurance practice.

Currently, Hind works as an audit non-executive at KPMG UK and is a non-executive director of Talbot Underwriting.

OneFamily chief executive Teddy Nyahasha says: “On behalf of the OneFamily board, I am pleased to welcome Melanie at an exciting time of growth for OneFamily as we continue with our ambitious modernisation programme, whilst embracing our mutual roots with a vision that has social inclusion at its heart.”

“Her experience will be of great value to us and I’m looking forward to working with her as we move our plans for OneFamily forward.”
