It says it will deliver a fully vetted panel of conveyancing firms that meet the lender’s requirements, as well as a suite of services to “further secure the monetary chain” and provide mortgage operational efficiencies.

The move by Skipton follows the launch of two new green additional borrowing products in February. The lender has over one million customers and was founded almost 170 years ago.

LMS chief executive Nick Chadbourne says: “The security, innovation and digitisation that LMS is providing its partners is especially important at a time when brokers and lenders are trying to help their clients find the best mortgages they can, amid a cost-of-living crisis, while trying to increase efficiency to help with capacity issues.”

Skipton Building Society head of mortgage lending Karen Appleton adds that “using the LMS panel link service [will] further strengthen our mortgage application journey.

“It means we can provide additional reassurance to our customers of the conveyancing process whilst working with carefully selected conveyancers.”
