Rowley returns to role at Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities | Mortgage Strategy

Lee Rowley has been reappointed as parliamentary under secretary of State in the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities by the new prime minister Rishi Sunak.

Rowley was originally appointed to the role by Sunak’s predecessor Liz Truss on 7 September.

Previously, he served as parliamentary under secretary of state in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and government whip, lord commissioner of HM Treasury between September 2021 and July 2022.

He joins Lucy Frazer, who was appointed as state minister in the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities yesterday.

Previously, Frazer worked as minister of state at the Department of Transport from 7 September to 26 October this year under Truss. 

The duo will work alongside Michael Gove, who returned to the role of secretary of the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities earlier this week.
