Barclays to hike scores of rates tomorrow | Mortgage Strategy

Barclays is increasing rates on a large number of purchase, remortgage and product transfer deals tomorrow.

Brokers wishing to reserve any of the products being withdrawn or increased must generate a mortgage information sheet for the deal in question by the end of today.

The last day to submit a full application is Saturday October 24.

The following residential purchase rates are rising:

  • 3.20 per cent five-year fixed £0 product fee, 85 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £2m will increase to 3.30 per cent
  • 1.79 per cent five-year fixed £0 product fee, 60 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £5m will increase to 1.89 per cent

The following rates for either purchase or remortgage are increasing:

  • 1.99 per cent two-year fixed £999 product fee, 80 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £2m will increase to 2.25 per cent
  • 1.55 per cent five-year fixed £999 product fee, 60 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £5m will increase to 1.65 per cent
  • 2.24 per cent five-year fixed £999 product fee, 80 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £2m will increase to 2.45 per cent

The following purchase and remortgage deals are being withdrawn:

  • 1.69 per cent two-year fixed Wealth £999 product fee, 75 per cent LTV, minimum loan £500k, max loan £5m
  • 1.79 per cent five-year fixed Fixed Wealth £999 product fee, 75 per cent LTV, minimum loan £500k, max loan £5m

A large number of existing customer reward deals rising, including:

  • 1.72 per cent one-year fixed £0 product fee, 75 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £2m will increase to 2.17 per cent
  • 1.18 per cent two-year fixed £999 product fee, 60 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £2m will increase to 1.34 per cent
  • 1.54 per cent two-year fixed £0 product fee, 60 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £2m will increase to 1.75 per cent
  • 1.34 per cent two-year fixed £999 product fee, 75 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £2m will increase to 1.79 per cent
  • 1.72 per cent two-year fixed £0 product fee, 75 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £2m will increase to 2.17 per cent
  • 1.43 per cent two-year fixed £999 product fee, 80 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £2m will increase to 1.88 per cent
  • 1.85 per cent two-year fixed £0 product fee, 80 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £2m will increase to 2.30 per cent
  • 1.74 per cent two-year fixed £999 product fee, 85 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £2m will increase to 2.19 per cent
  • 2.15 per cent two-year fixed £0 product fee, 85 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £2m will increase to 2.60 per cent
  • 2.24 per cent two-year fixed £999 product fee, 90 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £2m will increase to 2.40 per cent
  • 2.54 per cent two-year fixed £0 product fee, 90 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £2m will increase to 2.99 per cent
  • 2.94 per cent two-year fixed £0 product fee, over 90 per cent LTV, minimum loan £5k, max loan £2m will increase to 3.30 per cent

Many other product transfer rates are also increasing, including for existing buy-to-let borrowers.
