Paragon Bank has appointed Russell Anderson as customer retention and partnerships director, expanding its buy-to-let (BTL) mortgages division.

In the newly created role, Anderson will help to improve the proposition and relationships that Paragon has with existing customers.

He joins from the Bank of Ireland where he held the positions of head of sales and distribution and head of sales.

Prior to that, Anderson worked for Santander, Williams & Glyn and Lloyds Bank where he held various roles specialising in mortgages. 

Paragon Bank mortgages managing director Richard Rowntree says he is “extremely pleased” with Anderson’s appointment.

“Anderson brings a wealth of experience to the role and has a proven track record with lots of tangible success in his career to date. Russell is well known in the industry and will support our ambitions to grow, with a strong focus on our customers,” Rowntree adds.
