A new online broker Mortgagez has launched, promising to bring together quotes for solicitors, insurance and removals on a single platform.

The company was set up in 2018 by mortgage adviser Vik Roda and his friend Alex Seth who has a background in digital financial services.

The pair have been developing the platform since then, using mortgage data from Iress.

It is offering a fee-free whole-of-market service which it describes as a “hybrid advice solution”.

Borrowers can first search for a mortgage using the quick quotation tool, which will not leave a hard footprint on their credit file.

A team of qualified brokers are then on hand to provide advice and complete the application process.

Borrowers will soon be able to search for a solicitor based on price, rating or location, as well as comparing insurance and removal services on the platform.

Roda says: “Having worked in the mortgage market for many years I had struggled to find a go-to platform which combined streamlined information capture with smart mortgage solutions from experienced advisers.

“Ultimately it left me with no choice other than to develop such a platform myself.

“With the help of the fantastic team here at Mortgagez I firmly believe we have achieved this even if it has taken us a little longer than expected to get it absolutely right.”

Iress executive general manager for commercial Dave Miller adds: “We have been working with the team at Mortgagez since their inception and we are proud to have helped them create their state-of-the art platform.

“Mortgagez understand that while technology is the driving force in broker efficiency, human interaction is still paramount and their platform balances both sides of this equation.”
