Suffolk Building Society has appointed Beth Hillman to the newly-created role of business development manager for central London.
Hillman has worked in the mortgage industry for seven years, most recently as a mortgage and protection adviser.
In this new role she will be responsible for developing new and existing relationships with intermediaries and will report into Suffolk BS’s head of intermediary relations and mortgage sales, Charlotte Grimshaw.
Suffolk BS says the creation of this new role highlights its commitment to supporting its intermediary partners. It adds that firms identified as key accounts will continued to be managed by Suffolk BS’s key account manager, Andrew Sadler, even if located in central London. Sadler will also continue to be the main point of contact for mortgage clubs and networks.
Hillman says she looks forward to expanding the mutual’s reach in central London. “By providing pre-DIP approvals, manual underwriting and direct access to underwriters, brokers can rely on the Suffolk team to help them shape cases and proactively advance applications.”
Grimshaw adds that Hillman’s experience as a mortgage adviser will be used to further strengthen the society’s service proposition.
