Mortgage Introducer (MI) was originally launched in 1998 by the outgoing team as part of Charterhouse Communications.

When the 2008 crash occurred, that team bought the title when Charterhouse Communications went into administration.

Ramesh Sharma, outgoing chief executive of CEDAC Media, said: “We purchased MI in 2008 at the height of the worldwide financial meltdown – and we continued to print throughout the crisis without missing a single issue.

Mortgage Introducer has become the number one title servicing the intermediary mortgage market and has several events and awards.

“The sale of Mortgage Introducer and all of its associated tiles and websites heralds a new chapter in the continuous evolution of this great brand, and I wish Key Media and the remaining Mortgage Introducer team the best of luck going forward.”

The Mortgage Introducer editorial and sales team will remain in place under the new ownership.

Nia Williams, the launch editor in 1998, added: “I am proud to be part of the history of Mortgage Introducer, launching it in 1998 and again in 2008. It has become the Champion of the Mortgage Professional and I am glad it is in safe hands with Key Media, Ryan Fowler, Matt Bond and the team.”
