The firm, founded in 2018, says Webb will support the growth of the business by developing funding structures for current and future mortgage products. He will also manage the finance team.

Webb joins from Pollen Street Capital where he was investment director, responsible for the management of credit investment and securitisation deals in the UK and Europe, focusing on the specialist finance sector and asset-backed lending.

Prior to that, he worked at Bluestone Mortgages as director of capital markets and treasury, where he was responsible for delivering short- and long-term funding options. These included warehouse funding and residential mortgage-backed securities and asset-backed security securitisations for Bluestone’s specialist non-bank lending businesses in the UK and Ireland.

The over-55s lender says Webb has over 20 years of experience in financial services.

LiveMore Capital chief executive Leon Diamond says: “We are very excited to have Simon join the team. His depth of experience and knowledge will complement our team and help us strive for even more growth in 2022”.

Webb adds: “LiveMore is an innovative early-stage lender embarking on an incredible journey. LiveMore’s sole purpose is to provide mortgage solutions to the over 50s – typically an underserved segment of the market which requires innovative funding structures. I’m looking forward to utilising my experience and expertise to help bring these mortgage solutions and funding structures to life”.
