Mortgage Advice Bureau director of home moving strategy Ben Thompson is stepping down from the business at the end of the year.

Thompson has been with MAB for eight years, including previously serving as deputy chief executive.

Most recently, he has been responsible for developing the group’s home moving proposition and extending the range of services it offers.

MAB says it will continue to build on the strategic initiatives Thompson began, further broadening its position and capitalising on opportunities in the mortgage market.

Thompson says: “After many successful and enjoyable years at MAB, now is the right time for me to move on.

“I would like to thank all my colleagues, past and present, who have worked so hard alongside me through some challenging economic environments and helped deliver strong results year after year.

“I would also like to thank the MAB board for its support and challenge throughout my time with the business.

“My thanks also go to MAB’s business partners, advisers, administration colleagues and product providers, who collectively make MAB such a special business.

“MAB is a truly unique business with tremendous opportunities ahead and is very well positioned to extend its leadership in mortgage intermediation.

“I will continue to follow the group’s progress closely and will look back on my time here with great pride.”

MAB chief executive Peter Brodnicki says: “I can’t thank Ben enough for everything he has done to support me and the team at MAB in what has been an incredible period of growth and transformation for the business.

“Ben has built strong relationships and respect across MAB and the industry, and leaves behind a positive legacy that will continue to benefit the business.

“His dedication, professionalism, and commitment have been unwavering, and as CEO, I couldn’t ask for any more.

“We are grateful for everything he has contributed, and everybody at MAB wishes him every success for the future.”
