Sabal Capital Partners has appointed Barry Gersten to head of production for its commercial mortgage-backed securities business.
Gersten will be based in New York, and just prior to joining Sabal he both founded and held the role of managing principal with Bedrock Capital Associates.
Additional prior roles include executive vice president, co-head of North American lending for Capmark Financial (formerly GMAC Commercial Mortgage) and vice president of Lehman Brothers.

Mortgage Network Inc. said that Jennifer Reyes has joined its Danvers branch as a mortgage loan officer, where she will be responsible for serving homebuyers and homeowners throughout Massachusetts.
Reyes is returning to the mortgage industry after teaching high school mathematics in Boxford, Mass.
Mortgage Network also said that Alan Perry has joined its Bluffton, S.C., branch as a loan officer.
Perry, who has more than 19 years of mortgage industry experience, previously served as a sales manager and mortgage loan officer with SunTrust Bank (now Truist).

Greystone has hired Patrick Berry as a senior production manager.
Berry, who will be based in Detroit, joins Greystone from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, where he spent the last 35 years.
While at HUD, he most recently served as director of production for FHA 232 loans, and also held positions such as operations officer, financial analyst, policy specialist, loan specialist and auditor.
