Two local Zoo’s and Safari’s in Palm Beach County are currently closed to the public due to COVID-19 but are active on their websites and social media pages by posting pictures and videos of the animals for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own home.  

The Lion Country Safari, located in western Palm Beach County is known as Florida’s largest walk through and drive through Safari and has won numerous awards and recognitions for being one of Palm Beach County’s Top Attractions.  The safari is home to over 900 animals that roam freely among the 600 plus acres and is said to be the first cage-less zoo in the United States. The Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society is a non-profit zoological organization located in Dreher Park in West Palm Beach. The Zoo currently houses more than 550 animals; many or them are endangered within the zoo’s 23 acres of tropical habitat. Currently closed to visitors, the Zoo is offering free educational classes about the animals in the zoo, along with many pictures and videos on their Facebook page.
