Santander has appointed Graham Sellar as the new head of its intermediary channel, which will see brokers teams to report him.

The high street bank says the move, which takes effect on Monday (8 July), expands Sellar’s current role as head of mortgage business development, which will see him lead all field-based and telephone-based intermediary teams.

This comes alongside his existing role of overseeing key account management, a post he has held since 2020.

Thirty-year mortgage industry veteran Sellar will be supported by Helen Harrison, who continues to manage the intermediary teams on a daily basis, in her role as head of intermediary distribution.

He will also continue to work closely with Lynsey Mitchell as the head of direct channels.

Sellar says: “Relationships with brokers are vitally important to Santander as a major UK mortgage lender. I’m pleased to have this opportunity to

He adds that he will “support all the teams who interact with brokers on a daily basis and find ways in which we can continue to build strong relationships for the benefit of all our customers.”

The lender warns brokers they must submit new business applications on its current range by 10pm today.
