Calladine joined the conveyancing firm in the summer from the Gardner Iliff & Dowding law practice, in Cannock, where she spent just over three years, leaving as head of department.

She qualified as a solicitor in 2009 while working at the Smith Partnership in Derby.

Sort Legal says Calladine’s new role includes providing internal training for staff members, new recruits, and apprentices.

It says since joining the business she has organised numerous sessions with the firm’s new recruits on its remortgage team and apprentices offering development at early stages in their legal practice.

The firm, also based in Derby, adds that Calladine will offer “internal training for all staff members to help with further development, changes in law and any important industry updates”.

Sort Legal recently underwent a rebrand and launched a new website in mid-October.

Calladine says: “This is a fantastic opportunity for me to grow in my career as well as helping others start theirs.

“This opportunity will help both new and existing staff members to build on their existing skills and gain new ones, with the guidance of a trainer and the chance to qualify as licensed conveyancers.”
