Yorkshire Building Society is recruiting for 35 new technology roles as part of an investment programme to improve its digital functions.

The lender is looking to fill IT engineering and leadership roles with the aim of enhancing customer service and creating efficiency in its operations.

Recent IT projects for the Society include the launch of a new savings app, which was developed with Leeds-based technology firm Infinity Works.

Senior technology delivery manager Rebecca Fitzgerald says the society offers a great engineering environment within one of the UK’s fintech hubs.

New recruits will work on managing and updating Yorkshire’s proprietary technology, as well as calling in external expertise for specialist projects.

She adds: “Our IT department ranges from colleagues who began their roles as apprentices in the past few years to professionals who have worked with us for more than 30 years.

“We have a huge variety of different roles and projects, so there’s something for every IT professional, regardless of experience.

“Our people are our greatest assets and we are focused on nurturing, developing and investing in our colleagues so they can provide real help to our customers.

“We offer flexible working, including a combination of office and work-from-home; a generous holiday allowance and family leave; competitive salaries and an annual bonus scheme; flexibility for colleagues to choose benefits personalised to them; as well as coaching, training and development.”
